So, big things are happening over in my corner of the world. No, I’m not pregnant, and no, we’re not moving, but I will be experiencing what’s probably my the next biggest life change that I can think of- a new job! I’m going to be working for the amazing Elsie and Emma of A Beautiful Mess and I’m thrilled thinking about the possibilities that my new career could hold.
My husband, Todd, has been best friends with Elsie’s husband Jeremy for the last eleven years, so we’ve had the privilege of getting to know Elsie and Emma as they came into our circle of friends about five years ago. I probably don’t have to tell you that these ladies are the tops and ridiculously good at what they do. I mean, seriously, you could give them chicken wire, pine needles, and a can of tuna, and they could make you a throw pillow that is to die for. So obviously when they offered me a job as their project assistant, I didn’t have to think too long before saying yes. Today is actually my first day, but I’m super excited to see where this new journey takes me. Making a big change is usually scary, but the times I’ve grown the most in my life have been the times where I tried something that I knew would stretch me and force me to grow.
Todd brought me a mini bottle of champagne back from his Australia trip that we’re saving for a “first day of new job” celebration tonight. Here’s to the future, cheers!!
Working for Elsie and Emma must be a dream come true! You’re so lucky and I hope you have an amazing time with them! I would love to have a creative job like this.
