Sister From Another Mister (+ Minnetonka Giveaway!) *CLOSED*

***Entries for this giveaway are now closed***

One thing that I love about my family is that we have a pretty good dynamic going on between my immediate family and those who were lucky enough to marry into the Blumer (my maiden name) clan. For years we teased my single younger brother that he better pick someone good for his mate and not ruin the whole thing by becoming that family where everyone gets along except for the one sister/brother-in-law that causes all the problems. DON’T DO IT JOEL!

However, we apparently had nothing to worry about because once he brought his girlfriend Sarah around a few years ago, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief—she’s smart, funny, thoughtful, easygoing, and makes our family time even more fun than it ever was before. Nice pick little Bro! The other fun thing about Sarah is that we really have so much in common that it’s a bit scary sometimes, and she’s a blogger as well which is a fun twist for me. So, when Minnetonka asked if I had a blogger friend that wanted to participate in their “One Style, Two Ways” series with me, I knew just who to ask! I thought it would be fun to see how we would both style the same pair of tall fringe boots and I wasn’t surprised at all to see that we both chose black and white color palettes with a bit of a rocker twist. Great minds…am I right? These boots are certainly the most comfortable tall boots that I own, so I’m sure they will be getting a lot of use this winter, especially on out-and-about days where I want to be comfortable but still feel put together. AND fringe boots make an amazing slight flapping sound when you walk around which I weirdly love.

Isn’t Sarah just too cute?? In honor of our feature, I’m going to give you guys a chance to win your own pair of Minnetonkas as well! The giveaway will be open for one week and the winner will have their choice of any style on the Minnetonka site (giveaway only open to US residents). Just head over to their site and leave a comment on this post with your favorite pair of shoes for your entry. The winner will be contacted shortly after the giveaway closes. Good luck!signatureSee full contest and giveaway rules here.

I love these shoes too! Such an epic brand. Growing up my mom and I had matching minnetonka moccasins-it was epic! My favorite pair of shoes are the classic fringe boots in brown! Reminds me of running around in the woods as a child!

Bahhhhh, too amazing! I’d have to go with the thunderbird move mocs. 1. I had a pink pair as a kid and they’re forever my favorite. 2. I’m definitely trying to rush the season. Don’t player hate.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

I LOVE Minnetonka. And love ho you make a kind of hippie-style boot look rocker chic. I like the calf-hi two layer fringe in gray. It says it has an adjustable width, to easily wear over jeans and i love the gray look. But black could be really cool too.

I love the classic fringe hard sole so much. My mom had the thunderbird Mocs when I was a kid & Minnetonka still reminds me of her so much, in a very good way.

The EL PASO ANKLE BOOTIE’S have always been my favorite Minnetonka’s! So interesting how both of you styled the boots, I love the fur vest vs. the leather jacket look! So different, but they both work so well!

I love Minnetonka Moccasins!! I would get the Kilty Suede Moc Hardsole in wide. I received a pair for Christmas, but I think the wide would be a better fit…blisters! ouch 🙁

Yes! I’ve been dreaming of replacing my old thunderbird moccasins I had when I was in high school! They would be perfect with spring dresses!

    Love Minnetonka!
I have been wanting to get another pair of the basic KILTY SUEDE MOC HARDSOLE in brown.
I used to wear those with everything…until I wore them out. 🙂

I have similar thoughts about my family dynamics. So far it’s really close knit and hoping there’s not that one awkward brother/sister inlaw. Love how you guys styled your boots, so similar but pretty different. I personally love the suede ankle boot. There’s something so classical and versatile about it. Thanks for the opportunity! Always love seeing your posts.

I have been wearing Minnetonka’s since I was a little girl at camp in 4th grade. I have steadily had at least two pairs of mocs in my closet ever since; a black pair and a brown suede pair. I see all these ladies in their cute flats and I always turn to mocs. They’re my go to. I even got my pregnant sister obsessed with how soft and comfortable they are. Totally don’t mean to toot their horn too much but I am a surefire fan of Minnetonka! I haven’t made the jump to their canvas mocs yet, but if I were to win I would LOVE to try out their black canvas ones!

    xoxo,
    big fan.

Love the suede ankle boot, but it was a tough choice with the back zipper boot. Love my moccasins, so I’m sure a pair of boots would be amazing!

Ah! I have been wanting these boots for a few years now! They are too cute. I would love to get the calf-hi 3-layer fringe boot in black. These would be perfect because every time I want to wear black boots I realize I don’t have black boots! 🙁 Also I love your blog, it’s super motivating especially when you talk about your man being away (been there, it’s no fun & lonely) and I always look forward to your posts on a A Beautiful Mess. You are quite the fashionista 🙂

Thanks for the giveaway! The ‘hi top back zip boot’ (taupe!) would be such a great addition to my wardrobe since I don’t have anything like them. All of the choices are great and I am SO impressed with how reasonably price Minnetonka shoes & boots are!

I love the Leopard Kilty Mocs! I used to have some of these in just plain dark brown and I wore them TO DEATH! I love how this has the leopard print twist to add little pizzazz and spunk. I could definitely see these being my everyday go-to shoe choice.

    Thanks for the oppotunity!!
