Master Bedroom Mood Board

Our house has come a long way in the last few months. In order to have one space that felt clean and comfy from the beginning, the first room we fully painted and cleaned before we moved in was our bedroom. I think it’s really important to have at least one good (relatively finished) space in your house if you are just moving in or renovating. That way, you have a mini retreat from all the chaos and clutter and you can pretend the rest of your house looks just as good while you’re in there. While it was so helpful to have a bedroom that wasn’t being ripped apart, it has kind of stayed at that halfway-decorated stage since we moved in so I’ve made it my mission over the next month to fully finish the space and bring it up to an optimal cozy level. I have a few of these things on my mood board already installed and some are on their way, but I’m feeling pretty good about the vibe so far!

1. Cactus Print
2. Nightstand Lamps
3. Faux Sheepskin Rug
4. Brass Chandelier
5. Custom Closet Doors
6. Wallpaper (it’s removable!)
7. Duvet Cover

I would LOVE to have this bed to brighten up the space even more, but that is more on the “wish list” than the “reality list” for the moment. I can’t wait to see it all come together, the anticipation is killing me!!signature

I love what you’ve got goin’ on here, Gummergal! I have a secret mood board for what will soon be our guest room (there’s technically someone living in it now)

Do you ever think about sewing your own duvet cover? I love the one you have above, but I always feel like duvet covers are overpriced. I’ve never tried making one…but it can’t be that hard, right? I wonder?
